Comments about Decorate Your Own Bandannas - Set of 12:
It's a set of large white bandanas. Perfect canvas for your creative kiddos. However, it would be great if it was a kit that included some decorating utensils.

I used the white bandannas for drawing on with neon and glitter gel pens and I made flags and quilt tops. We looked for picture ideas in a coloring book; drew the picture using a pencil onto the bandanna (some people that are not good at drawing use tracing paper and trace photos or designs onto the paper and then trace over the paper using carbon paper between the tracing paper and the bandanna to transfer the picture onto the bandanna. We then used a dark black marker (permanent marker with fine tip is the best), and we traced the outline of our picture/image, then we colored our image using colored gel pens, and to give it an extra "Wow!" we used glitter pens on some areas to make certain things stand-out or sparkle. This product is great for making quilt tops. Each bandanna represents a quilt block and you could haved a child decorate his or her own square by drawing things onto it about him/herself. Write his/her name on the square. Each child in your family could do a square and you could have it all sewn together and use it as a quilt adding batting and a backside. You could do it using the adult family members too. They can decorate their own square. I did one of these and then I sewed the top of my bandanna quilt to make a place for a curtain rod to go through. For each square that a person did in my family I hand-sewed and glued items to match their block theme. Like for my sister that loves Halloween I put on some Halloween stickers, used scrapbook cut-outs with the Halloween theme, I glued on candy wrappers, fake plastic candy corns, mini Halloween decorations or items, and things in the colors orange, black, green, and purple to represent Halloween. I used gel pens to write in my sister's name and birthday. For my brother I made an iron on of his fishing photos, and I ironed it on the next square, and I then decorated his square in the theme of fishing. I sewed hooks, lures, little miniature fishing rods and nets, and used cutouts of fish and fish beads. We did a square for each person and made a family heirloom wall quilt. I keep it hanging on my wall for 3 or 4 months out of the year, then I pass it on to the next person for them to display in their home, and that person will keep it another 3 or 4 months ane the next person will get it. It's a wonderful conversation piece and plus it's nice to look at it from time to time and recall those old but cherished memories from way back when. :)PS-Careful about washing!! Some pens may fade or bleed on the bandanna if you wash it. Just because it says "fabric marker" or "permanent marker" doesn't mean that it won't fade, smear, run, or bleed. I always buy an extra bandanna and use it as a tester. I draw some little old stick man or heart or star on the bandanna and then I throw it in the washing machine the next day to give the ink time to settle in to the fabric. I wash the bandanna by itself with cold water and detergent, no bleach and no fabric softener, and I hang it to dry. I never put the item in the dryer. If you have things glued or sewed to the blocks you may want to remove them so you can wash the bandanna and then afix them back on later when the material has dried. You may hand-wash also if you would feel more comfortable. Just use an extra bandanna cloth and check your pens to make sure they don't run, bleed, or wash out when washing the item or should the item accidentally get wet.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery and service were great! I like working with a company that goes above great customer service, satisfying its customers as it's focal point, and offering great products at low prices. Who could beat that? Believe me, these days, if you have good product variety and availability and low prices but terrible customer service, no one will want to buy from you. It would be worth it to a customer to go to another company/supplier, and pay $1 or $2 more for something and receive outstanding customer service than patron a supplier that offers cheaper products with awful customer service. And thanking your customers for ordering by including little freebies and goodies in their order is really great, too! Opening the package to see my free gift is almost as exciting as getting what I ordered. I've gotten several cute things as a free gift that I ended up going back and ordering a lot of later. Keep up the good work DSS!! Your cool!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
